Veronica Descotte serves as Chief Business Officer at Baylor Genetics, where she focuses on delivering the best possible products for the company’s customers and patients. She leads business development across its partner channels, as well as corporate strategy, corporate development, product management, and enterprise transformation.

She began her career as a scientist at the University of Minnesota, working in genetics and neuroscience, and later moved into venture capital, investing across diagnostics, therapeutics, and medical devices. She spent nearly a decade at Medtronic in senior global strategy, business development, and general management roles. Most recently, she served as Chief Strategy Officer at Exact Sciences.

Veronica holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Macalester College.
