Modular kit design that allows individual sample kits to be used independently or bundled as needed, giving care teams greater flexibility for family testing.
- Each family member receives their own testing supplies, helping reduce confusion and simplify family collections.
- Duo and Trio sleeves bring individual kits together into a cohesive package, supporting a clear, organized approach to family collections.
- Quad testing kit configurations can be supported through combinations of proband, duo, and/or trio kit configurations.
- Sleeves can be easily disassembled for individual kit use.

Comprehensive labeling supports Baylor Genetics’ full test menu and makes it easier to quickly identify kit configuration, sample type, and expiration date.
- New rapid kits (buccal and blood) use prominent visual cues and color‑coded return shipping labels to clearly signal priority processing, helping reduce the risk of delays.
- Each individual kit includes its own return FedEx® shipping mailer. When appropriate, multiple kits may be returned in a single mailer, and unused mailers may be saved for future use.

Prenatal kits will remain in a larger box and for clarity have been renamed to Amniotic Fluid Kit and Amniotic Fluid + Parental Blood Kit.
Yes. For added flexibility, individual kits can be ordered if the sleeve option is not preferred.
No. Sleeves are provided for organizational ease during family collections and do not need to be returned.
- Rapid Buccal and Rapid Blood kits have been added as orderable options. The Rapid distinction will allow for easier sample handling prioritization.
- These are only available as individual (proband) kits and are not bundled.
No kit types have been removed.
- Parafilm has been removed from blood collection kits.
- Priority testing using rapid or prenatal kits will have a colored return shipping label to expedite accessioning when sample arrives to us.
You may write on the shipping mailer “Priority” or “STAT” in large letters.
