Dr. Fan Xia serves as Chief Genomics Officer at Baylor Genetics. Dr. Xia is also an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM).

With over 15 years of experience across academic and commercial lab settings, Dr. Xia oversees test development, scientific innovation, and the integration of advanced genomic methodologies into clinical practice.

Prior to joining Baylor Genetics, Dr. Xia joined BCM in 2010 where he had the opportunity to experience the early days of translating the next-generation sequencing technologies into clinical diagnostics, shortly after completing a research fellowship on cancer biology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Xia received his PhD from the University of Rochester and his BA from Peking University.
