Kengo Takishima serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Baylor Genetics, a leading diagnostic genomics partner offering a full spectrum of clinically relevant genetic testing. Appointed in November 2016, Kengo focuses on driving innovative growth strategies and cultivating a learning culture that places patients and customers at the center of the company’s mission to transform the future of precision diagnostics.

Prior to joining Baylor Genetics, Kengo served in senior roles in corporate strategy, business development, private equity investment, and M&A at H.U. Group Holdings, General Electric, Kaleido Holdings, and Mizuho Bank.

He was recently recognized as one of the Houston Business Journal’s 2025 Most Admired CEOs. Previously, he was named among Houston’s Top 25 Health Technology Leaders and was included on Slice of Healthcare’s ‘50 Under 50’ list of top industry innovators.

Kengo received his MA from Tufts University, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and an MBA from the IE Business School. He also received his BA from Chuo University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
