Dr. Ji He currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Genomic Technology at Baylor Genetics and has 19 years of experience in the field of artificial intelligence, scientific computing, and genomics. In this role, he leads a team of bioinformatics R&D scientists, software engineers, and data scientists to develop data analysis algorithms and processing pipelines that are integral to Baylor Genetics’ diagnostics assays. Additionally, he leads Baylor Genetics’ digital product and data platform initiatives.

Dr. He received his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and master’s in information management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. Later, he earned a PhD in computer science from the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining Baylor Genetics, Dr. He served in multiple executive roles at 54Gene, Genecast, OmniSeq (now part of LabCorp Oncology), and Bio-Reference Laboratories. Dr. He progressed through management positions in plant genomics at the Noble Research Institute and conducted human genetics research at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. He now works in the genetics field focusing on clinical diagnostics using next-generation sequencing.
