Joel Kaufman serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Baylor Genetics. With extensive financial leadership experience in molecular diagnostics and life sciences, as well as corporate development and strategic growth, Joel leads enterprise-wide financial planning, accounting operations, investor relations, and initiatives that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth.

Prior to joining Baylor Genetics, Joel served as CFO of PrognomiQ and earlier as CFO at Haystack Oncology, where he played a key role in its acquisition by Quest Diagnostics. He also held senior positions at Sema4, supporting the acquisition of GeneDx and guiding the company through a successful Nasdaq listing. His career also includes financial analysis at Goldman Sachs, specializing in diagnostics and medical technology.

Joel received his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
