David Berger serves as Chief Legal Officer at Baylor Genetics. With over 25 years of experience, David oversees the company’s legal strategy and oversees all corporate, contracting, and compliance matters.

Prior to joining Baylor Genetics, David held multiple senior leadership roles at Tandem Diabetes Care, where he established the company’s legal and compliance function, led its intellectual property strategy, and negotiated complex collaborations and licensing agreements. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing clinical, regulatory, quality, and operations teams, and guiding the regulatory and clinical strategy for several first-in-class, interoperable medical devices.

Before Tandem, David was a legal advisor and General Counsel to several public multi-national and private venture-backed, emerging growth companies, including in-house roles at Senomyx, Biosite, and Amylin Pharmaceuticals.

David received his JD from Stanford Law School and his AB from the University of California, Berkeley.
