Test Updates // Oncology // FISH Panel Probes (October 2019)

Dear Valued Clients,

Thank you for your continued trust in Baylor Genetics as your genetic testing partner.

As we continually upgrade and refine our test menu and services, we want you to be the first to know of changes that may affect your testing with us.

Effective October 1st, 2019, the following test updates will occur:

The probes on the following FISH panels will be updated:

In addition, for myeloma samples we will begin offering Plasma Cell Enrichment in order to enhance our detection of cytogenetic abnormalities by FISH in patients with Plasma Cell Neoplasms.

Transition period

If you are using an older test requisition form after October 1st, 2019, orders for ALL FISH Panel (test code 8010), CLL FISH Panel (test code 8040), MM FISH Panel (test code 8015), or NHL FISH Panel (test code 8020) will automatically include the updated probes.

The updated Tumor Analysis requisition will be available to download on October 1st, 2019.
