Effective January 9th, 2018, the following test updates will occur:
Test Updates
- Our current SMN1 deletion analysis (test code 6059) will now include the analysis of copy number changes for both SMN1 and SMN2 genes.
Transition period
- If you are using an older test requisition form after January 9th, 2018, orders for SMN1 deletion analysis (test code 6059) will be automatically upgraded to SMN1/SMN2 copy number analysis.
The updated Molecular Diagnostics requisition will be available to download on January 9th, 2018.
