Last month, we announced updates to our Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) product, which included the reporting of mitochondrial variants, trinucleotide repeats, and structural variants. Click here to read the full memo regarding these updates.
Effective immediately, and to better serve our partners and their patients, BG is proud to launch a rapid version of its Whole Genome Sequencing product (test code 1822). When ordering Rapid WGS Trio, providers can now expect patient results as early as *5 business days. BG’s WGS test provides comprehensive analysis and timely results to patients, which can help speed-up diagnosis and ensure appropriate medical management and treatment.

*The turnaround time begins when the patient’s sample arrives at the BG Lab Some results may require confirmatory studies, which will cause additional time of reporting. Currently, Rapid WGS Trio is only validated to accept blood samples. Additional sample types for this product are expected to be validated later this year.
