Yes. Baylor Genetics has teamed up with Genome Medical for post-test counseling for qualifying patients. Please contact your Regional Account Executive to determine if your patients are eligible for this service.
US residents who receive positive or uncertain results from qualifying Baylor Genetics tests are eligible, including rapid or standard Whole Genome Sequencing (rapid or standard), Whole Exome Sequencing (rapid or standard), genetic panels, Chromosomal Microarray Analysis (CMA), and mitochondrial testing.
No, Baylor Genetics does not provide pre-test genetic counseling services. We recommend arranging pre-test genetic counseling through your institution’s genetics team or local genetic counseling services when clinically indicated.
- When your patient receives qualifying results, refer them to complete a form through Baylor Genetics. Once the form is submitted, Genome Medical will contact your patient directly to schedule their telehealth appointment.

You will receive a visit summary within 48 hours of your patient’s genetic counseling session. This report will include discussion points, recommendations, and any follow-up actions suggested by the genetic counselor.
